Pursuit Of Excellence

NG GyneHealth is a specialist women's health clinic offering modern obstetric, gynaecological and fertility care of the highest standard in a caring, comfortable and private environment.

At NG GyneHealth, the wellbeing and comfort of our patients is our priority, with a firm focus on patient outcomes and best practice.

In addition to being Australian qualified Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, both our Doctors have formal advanced ultrasound qualifications from the Australian Society of Ultrasound Medicine. This, coupled with state of the art Ultrasound machines including the 3D - 4D technology, means we can offer our obstetric, gynaecology and fertility patients a virtual one-stop-shop to medical examination and treatment. This gives us the opportunity to discuss with patients their results and treatment options immediately.

Dr Gaunekar has a particular interest in Minimally Invasive Surgery (key hole surgery), fertility medicine and high risk pregnancy. Most surgeries are performed without making big cuts on the abdomen, including big ovarian tumours, endometriosis and Laparoscopic Hysterectomies.

One of Dr Rodrigues' sub-speciality areas is Urogynaecology, which focuses on the treatment and care of women suffering from prolapse and incontinence. The impact of incontinence can be greatly lessened and the quality of life improved with up-to-date treatments and procedures offered at our clinic.

Our approach to fertility medicine is very methodical. We look closely at the symptoms, find the cause and then develop a treatment plan which suits the individual couple. IVF is certainly one available option, but there are a variety of alternatives to explore before IVF. We offer a full range of options including IVF to our patients tailored for their condition. We know that issues with fertility are very sensitive and once again we work closely with the couple to plan for the most positive outcome. Costs are a big consideration and we are sensitive to this. We pride ourselves on delivering very cost effective options in the fertility world.

Dr Gaunekar and Dr Rodrigues have a keen interest in fertility medicine and are associates of the Queensland Fertility Group, which is part of the wider Virtus health family, representing one of the worlds largest fertility groups.

Dr Gaunekar has represented Australia as the Shan S Ratnam Young Gynaecologist Award winner for 2007 at the Asia and Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (AOFOG) Congress in Tokyo.
